My experience at Eddie V’s Prime Seafood was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming & perfectly balancing sophistication with warmth. The food was phenomenal, every bite rich with flavor and clearly crafted with care and precision. You can taste the quality and passion behind every dish. What truly elevated the evening, though, was Shannon. She was the very definition of sweet and chivalrous. Graceful in her presence, attentive without hovering, and genuinely kind in a way that can’t be taught. She anticipated needs before they were spoken, carried herself with such poise, and made us feel not just served, but genuinely valued and cared for. Her warmth added a personal touch that transformed dinner into a memorable experience. Shannon didn’t just provide great service, she created a moment. Because of her, and the incredible culinary experience, this is a place I will gladly return to and wholeheartedly recommend. Eddie V’s sets the standard, and Shannon embodies it beautifully. My husband and I came to Eddie V’s in La Jolla for dinner on the day we got married, and this place made our night unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond they surprised us with a beautifully decorated table overlooking the ocean at sunset, complete with champagne, rose petals, and a “Congratulations” sign. It felt intimate, thoughtful, and truly special. The food was incredible. We started with the lobster bisque, rich and velvety with the perfect depth of flavor. Our filet mignon was cooked flawlessly tender, juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The creamy mashed potatoes were pure comfort and the perfect pairing. To top it off, the team surprised us with a complimentary dessert that was out of this world. The cocktails were delicious, the service was warm and celebratory, and every single person who approached our table made us feel genuinely cared for. Eddie V’s didn’t just give us a dinner they gave us a memory we’ll cherish forever. If you’re celebrating something meaningful (or just love amazing seafood and steak), this is the place to go in La Jolla. Highly, highly recommend.

Nothing less than a masterclass in elevated dining. Our server was a study in refinement — warm yet dignified, attentive without hovering, and fluent in the unspoken etiquette that separates true hospitality from mere service. I ordered the 22oz ribeye, a house favorite held in the highest regard, accompanied by the crab cake recommended by our server. My husband chose the filet mignon with the truffle macaroni and cheese, indulgent and decadent in the most luxurious way. For cocktails, we selected the Golden Hour and the Smoked Old Fashioned—both executed with a level of craftsmanship that deserves applause. Silky yet commanding, these were not drinks; they were experiences. Easily some of the most impeccably balanced spirits we have ever tasted. We were celebrating our anniversary, and were graciously welcomed with complimentary champagne adorned with rose petals, along with a handwritten card. Though neither my husband nor I typically enjoy champagne, this one was undeniably exceptional—balanced, elegant, and surprisingly delightful. A complimentary dessert followed, because of course it did. The bananas foster, flambéed tableside, was theatrical in the most tasteful sense, finished with “Happy Anniversary” elegantly written on the plate. The view was impeccable, and sincere admiration goes to the chef for graciously allowing me to add crab to my ribeye. Portions were generous, the warm bread service was comforting and impeccably prepared, and I highly recommend the caviar. The crab was beautifully fluffy, and the lobster—simply magnificent. There is, in truth, no place quite like Eddie V’s.
